Do the h60s leak a lot? From what I have read its hit or miss, I was thinking about picking a couple up when the egg had them on sale but was weary.
They don't, and corsair's support is above and beyond and will cover the cost of what gets fried in the event it does leak... but it's such a non-occurence. It was more like the h70 anyways.
My msi 7950 is exactly the same pcb with hynix ram and memory voltage
i dont know what you mean 'same pcb', same as what? And do you mean TF3 or reference model? When did you buy it, where did you buy it... if this is the refernece model, can you answer all the question/specs in the OP for each model (core volt, memory volt, pcb, vrm heatsinked or not, hynix vs elpida).
I dont know what relevance there is in this.
I'm seriously considering returning my sapphire and getting a voltage unlocked gigabyte or asus off ebay, but they aren't commonly posted. Hopefully if a reference model is good in every way besides cooling, I could just swap it from egg and h60 mod.
On a side note, just learned something interesting. There are 2 types of Elpidas! The 50F and 60F, and the 60F is faster (6ghz vs 5ghz). It'd be interesting to find out if the timings between the two are any different. But the 60F means it runs at 1500mhz, which is funny because no card ships with 1500mhz, like the Dual-X 3L which is using 60Fs.
That would explain why people using the Dual-X card are able to get such high memory clocks consistently for Elpidas, hitting 1600-1700mhz.Edited by Belial - 5/29/13 at 3:09am
