Nice power improvements and great overclocking headroom.

But it's nothing unexpected. All it was supposed to be was an overclocked Trinity with lower power consumption.

Exactly!

Sort of on-topic: Just one thing that I don't understand to this day: why is it that AMD doesn't put the CPU / APU model number in an easy way to read (you can tell what it is from the second line, but it's not the full model number) on the IHS along with the main specs like Intel does ? These 6 series APUs seem better in that regard as you now have an easy to read first line that says to which series it belongs, but still, there are still all those numbers that seemingly don't mean a thing when they could list cache and stock speed. Another thing I don't understand is why GPU-Z identifies some AMD GPUs by the series but doesn't specify, like you have an HD 6850 / HD 6870, but in the name it's called HD 6800 series, like something generic, I don't get this, AMD needs better marketing, these little things also count and don't cost much to implement.

Cool! But will it still outpace the Haswell integrated offering? Also, when are they finally gonna put the high end mobile APU's into a 14" or smaller laptop! I know they can do it, the 11 inch clevo w110er shows you can get high end components into a small form factor.

Of course but not too sure about the performance of HD 5200 though.

I'm fairly sure Haswell's IGP still isn't going to match the A10, especially at the same price range (i7's market target ≠ A10's market target).

Amen. AMD's APU's are a killer deal for the price.

Looks like a good improvement. For anyone that needs general computing/multimedia machine these APUs are great for the price and beat Intels weak IGP.
I'm interested in power consumption figuresand memory benchmarks the most, really. The first for obvious reasons, my computer is power limited, and the second, because it could potentially mean a very nice IGP performance boost over Trinity smile.gif
