Actually Apu's are a great choice for gaming too, Couple them with some decent ram and the Discrete low end card and run them in dual graphics, I've got a cheap 300 dollar laptop with 6640G Dualgraphics and damn it hauls some hefty ass.

Exactly. Hybrid crossfire is the way to go for gamers.

GPU drivers for intel HD graphics are pure crap. Anyone who's used intel HD graphics will tell you about all it's good for is benchmarks and spreadsheets. Once you get into actual graphic tasks in aps it locks up, fps takes a dive, if not outright crashing back to the desktop. Perhaps with the premium people will pay for iris pro we'll see some better intel hd gpu drivers. until we do i'd take those FPS they're reporting in game reviews with a grain of salt. The orphaned frames, and frame pacing issues is astronomically bad. Thats why a little A4 will play most games smother then an i3-3225, even though the i3 has a "better/similar" on board gpu, the i3 will be basically unplayable due to graphic driver issues, while the a4 (which is really underpowered) will seem like the superior piece of hardware.

its all about the drivers my friend. Till intel fixes that problem, intel hd graphics won't be worth using under any situation.

I find it somewhat amusing that AMD receives a lot of flak for their drivers... And people don't notice Intel's drivers' quality.
