680 4GB FTW SLI vs single 780

Which setup will be better as they are same price range? Really would prefer to spend ~700 and have it last me a couple years. Looking to play most of the games in Ultra mode. Have dual 1080p 24" monitors for now but do want to add a 30" 1600p to play on as well. So higher res gaming will be in my future.

Wouldn't rule out 7950s or 7970s either honestly. But I do play a lot of EVE online where I have multiple windowed clients open and I heard that corssfire won't support windowed mode. So leaning towards the Nvidia taste here.

Unless you plan on SLI 780s then 4Gb 680 SLI would eat even a titan

Two 680 4GB FTW in SLI is better than one 780 or a single titan for that matter.

If you can get a couple of 4gb 680s for around $700, then go for that.

All the 680 4gbs on Newegg.com are over $500 each. A $650 GTX 780 is the better choice over a couple 680 4gbs equaling $1000 -$1100

I think yall have convinced me. Hahaha good. I really think I would have regretted spending 650 on one card. Now to find a 680 FTW+ 4gb or Classified for about 300-350... Wish me luck lol

Why not wait a few weeks for 770 gtx it's the 680 overclocked , I would go for a single card as sli 680 your limited . But if you find a deal for cheap 680 go for that but I hate sli / Xfirer

4GB FTW 680's are overclocked...

Please explain how you are limited with SLI'd 680's? I believe you have room to add two more in....

Also, its "GTX 770" I cant stand people saying "XXX GTX" you dont say " AMD Radeon 7970HD"
