just a question about UV light/LED

sorry if this is the wrong place to ask.

I have a decent amount of knowledge on computers, if not less. I have a good friend who does everything for me, he built it for me, etc.

I'm installing water cooling real soon, and I came across a problem.

Basically, I want my computer to look awesome and pretty inside, with bright dark purple lights, and I bought every reqeuired to do that already.

what I didn't realize is that my purple fans, are UV REACTIVE, and so is everything else I bought, thinking they were already going to glow with LED lights, but no I was a noob and was WRONG.

My question basically, is what's the best, or recommended or whatever.... what kind of UV light should I be buying if I justt want my UV REACTIVE components/tubes to glow nice and purple on the inside? ;s

i am really sorry, but like I said, I'm not a computer rig expert/geek. i'm getting there, haha

thank you very much in advance.

i'll post pictures if you need me to.

well .

Sorry to hear that you bought the wrong things, IT HAPPENS TO US ALL!

so A uv light is needed to make that stuff glow and give everything a effect , now you can go a few ways you can get LED are cold cathode (its a light in a tube) (leds are brighter)

you can get a few options

Sold glow
OR
they make some that glow, pulse flash and do all sorts of things for a little more money!

you want to buy 4 tubes
1 top
1 bottom
1 back
1 front
for the best results

!!!!! if you have anymore questions just ask , are if needed I will post links to buy are what it should look like biggrin.gif

I would say go with Cold Cathode Florescent Lights, otherwise known simply as cathode lights. I've used LED and Cathode lights for UV illumination, and I can safely say Cathode lights work a LOT better for that glow effect.

You can find plenty of lighting here
