Sources at VentureBeat have confirmed that Samsung has chosen Intel’s Atom to power at least one Samsung Galaxy Tab device, giving the chip-maker a desperately needed design win in the Android tablet market.

My opinion:
Wow... Clover Trail+ Atom? Can't wait to see artifacts, blue screen of death plus tons of customers wanting refunds.rolleyes.gif

Clover Trail and Clover Trail+ is garbage compared to Temash, if they don't want to use AMD APU's for their tablet then they could just waited for Intel's Bay Trail. What are these guys from Samsung were smoking, seriously?!? kookoo.gif

Note: I know Galaxy Tab does not use Windows while that does not mean there won't be crashes and artifacts on screen.

Now now, let's give them a chance. Besides, Samsung's not about to alienate Intel by going AMD since Intel and Samsung are pushing forward together with Tizen.

Temash is superior and better in Linux...

I will wait for results, this is possible a massive flop for Samsung since Atom is not reliable. Hopefully Atom can handle the work load, its only x86. No 64bit, a bummer.

And what to my wandering eyes should appear, but a bash-Intel statement posted by vampirr..... (rhyme intentional)

Droid Razr I seems to be doing fine. No big reports of RMAs or failed hardware. I think this is a smart move to at least try it out.

Eh, why would Atom cause BSOD?

Yea, mentioning BSOD because its funny. Oh my Pentium 4 days.

Can't wait for benchmarks and power consumption of Galaxy Tab 3 since if Atom inside it has TDP over 3.9 watts then they could have just used "Temash" for god sake.

http://www.anandtech.com/show/6974/amd-kabini-review/3

Its newer and better, at same clocks Temash would have almost 3 times faster single threaded performance and lets not talk about GPU performance. I am not bashing Intel at all, just puzzled about Samsungs choice...

put a windows based OS on it and there you go.
Still I think MS's mobile platform have a white error screen like Apple has.
