X58 board replacement

so my mobo just died , i had a dx58so i never really liked the board and i always knew that someday it will die on me tongue.gif but it did 4 years , so thats good , anyways , I have to ask , i got 2 options only to buy ,

Gigabyte GA-EX58_UD3R rev 2.0 the one with sata 6gb and usb 3
OR
Msi X58A-GD45 usb 3 and sata 6gb

The gigabyte is easier to get , since a shop here where i live sells it , the msi is cheaper , but it's gonna cost me the same if im gonna buy it online because im gonna have to ship it overseas to get it , and kinda hard to get back if it's not working , i dont think it's worth the hassle ,

anyways , another option , is to get me a core i5 3570 , with a decent non expensive motherboard , but the question is here , is it worth paying about 150-200$ more on that ? or just grab a new x58 motherboard ? , can a i7 920 @3.8ghz make it 3-4 more years , gaming wise ?

How much are these going to cost you?

I'd look for something used / still in good shape just to fill the gap if you want to upgrade to a newer platform sooner than later.
Haswell is coming out in less than a month; may as well get the newest since you're 3 generations back like me.

Of course the other option is you get a new board now, and wait until Broadwell sometime next year.

Ouch that sucks. $250 for an outdated board is a huge ripoff, might be easier to just sell off your chip + RAM then and upgrade.

Haswell should be out in less than a month, if you want to wait.
It won't be a huge improvement over Ivy Bridge though so don't feel too bad if you want to pull the trigger now (or if it will save you a few bucks).

Imma go check with the company that does the shipping tomrrow to see if i can get the msi one shipped here in a good price cause im not sure how much shipping costs (tho i remember it was expensive) but just to be clear , if not i will sell my i7920 chip get me an ivybridge , because if i wait for haswell which i have to wait 3+ months from release to get here where i live , and it will be expensive when it first comes out ,

the question is now , will i be able to see the performance diff between my i7920 and lets say i5 3570k ?
