When we play 4 player co-op online in halo's Horde mode or Gears of War's horde mode....where is the AI being processed? AFAIK, the hosts xbox receives all the information from the other 3 consoles, runs the AI, and sends the information back to everybody else's consoles. That's a LOT of syncing up going on, all on a old tri-core while running the rest of the game.

What would be the difference if instead of everybody's AI ran off the host's console (who could be 1,000 miles away from everybody else), why not instead just dedicate on of the virtual consoles to handle all the AI? As far as everybody else is concerned, nothing else has changed, the AI is still being processed by somebody else's machine, granted, the virtual machine could be 100% dedicated to AI.

Yes and how many servers for +30 millions players ? Some will play single, others multiplayer.
How many were on screen at the same time for horde mode ?

The problem is more the PR bull talk... I mean your getting the power of 3 other consoles, but your limited to certain things ? Very misleading.

according to them, 300,000 servers. How many virtual devices per server? I dunno tongue.gif Look I'm just looking at what could be cool possibilities. The specs of the next gen consoles aren't going to change over the next 5 years, however, if need be, the online support will continually evolve.
