Need help with a wireless gaming setup.

So i currently have a Dlink DIR-655 router in the basement, and my desktop computer on the top floor in my room. Im having wireless ping spikes in LoL, and very weakkk signals on the ground floor. Im really puzzled by this. The internet connection cuts out when using ipads/phones/etc on the ground floor. I have tried to move my router upstairs by just plugging the modem in to my cable outlet (sacrificing my TV) but the internet does not work. Im assuming my only option is to upgrade my router and my wifi card (i currently use a USB wifi card made by cisco on my desktop, that sometimes cuts out.)

i was looking at these two as a pair.

Just buy wireless extenders, there's no need to buy a new router. Good luck thumb.gif
