The intel is better, but not by much. They use similar amount of power.

If you are not limited by budget get the i7 since its a bit better CPU wise, get the 8350 if you want to get a quality mobo under $200.

What will you be running on the system, gaming, VMs, encoding etc?

How many GPU's, rest of the system spec?

Also wait for haswell.

It will be for gaming. I heard that 3820 is better but on the hand I also heard that FX X8 8350 is easier to overclock and more efficent when overclocked is that true?

The intel CPU is better in pretty much every way possible, however I would just sit back for a little bit and wait for Haswell to come out next month. It will be a much better purchase than either of these two smile.gif

3820 destroys the 8350. That being said you're comparing a ~200$ CPU to a ~300$ it's pretty obvious which one is going to be better.

My advice would be to get the Haswell i7-4770K and a matching Z87-chipset motherboard like Gigabyte's GA-Z87X-UD3H. They should be hitting stores in under 2 weeks.
