Hybrid Drive Questions.

Hey guys, I wanted to start off by saying that the reason I'm getting a Hybrid Drive and NOT an SSD, is because I'm on a low budget(please don't suggest SSD's).

So yesterday, I found out I still have SATA I hard drives(I know, your laughing tongue.gif). So I decided its time for an upgrade. What I was planning on doing, was getting either of these hybrid drives as my main drive:

Or:

http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=65149&promoid=1281

And I'm torn between which one I should get. Can you guys give me the honest opinion on whether I should get a regular HDD or a Hybrid drive. I want the hybrid drive because I like the way how it has a small SSD built in, and its still cheap. I want it because I want a faster boot time(although I still boot in 15 seconds with sata i), and faster execution for regularly used programs. Also, could you tell me which ones of the two that are listed about which one to get. Thanks!

Hybrid drives have enough SSD space for bootup and maybe a few program execution paths, other than that they'll be normal HDD's. I've used one before and they work great but are no substitute for a real SSD.

From your two choices, the Momentus XT will be the fastest overall thumb.gif

If I had the money for an ssd I'd get it. But since hybrid drives are a good second choice, I think I'll grab it. Thanks man biggrin.gif!
