I have a NZXT Switch 810 with 7 fans. Installed is a ASRock Z77 Fatal1ty Professional and the stock cooler with ShinEtsu G751 thermal paste.

Case: NZXT Switch 810
CPU: i7 2600k
Cooler: Stock i7 Cooler
Paste: Shinetsu G751 (Spreaded)
Voltage: Stock
Over clock: None
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Fatal1ty Professional

Idle temps: 27C-41C (Averaging around 35C)
Prime95 Small FFT's: 77C - 81C

Is this normal?

I'm surprised that your temperatures are not worse given that you are using the stock cooler. Do yourself a favor and splurge on something that is going to wick the heat away from that chip. The optimal range for Sandy Bridge is anything under 85C so you are safe, but pushing the barrier.

Perfectly normal for the stock cooler, although, I'm curious, idle temperatures don't fluctuate as much as 27-41c... Are you basically saying it is 35c almost all the time unless you're stressing it with applications?

I have the same processor but with a Corsair H60, I idle at 30c, my room is 27c right now. It also depends on the temperature of your room as to how good your temperatures are obviously.

But as it stands, your temperatures are normal. I'd probably recommend changing the stock cooler though if you are wanting to see some lower temperatures.

whats your ambient temp? did you leave all your voltages on auto?

we need more info bruce.gif

Stock using a beter paste than intel.gives you. I say bad mount sandy shouldnt run that hot on stock cooler not overclocked

Auto voltages? I never messed around with voltages at all so I'm not sure.

Its between 31 - 37 most of the time, low as 27. It goes to 40 when something like Chrome or Steam is open.

I'm changing to an XSPC Rasa with an XSPC RX240, and an XSPC X2O 750 Pump.

My ambient temp is roughly 20C
