h100i and arctic hybrid x2???

I am getting tired of the heat my computer generates, made my room go from 70 degrees f to 90 degrees lol, while it did get warmer outside the rest of my house was still low 70's! SLI gtx 470's just are too hot. So I was wondering if this would work and if it would get the temps down to a decent amount. I had considered a full watercooling loop at some point in time but iunno it's more of a hassle. I also want to get rid of my stupid big cpu cooler, regret not getting the h80 or whatever at the time. So will this all fit/work or what wold be my best option for the same price.

My other consideration was just to get a gtx670 but there's no performance upgrade from what I researched. So id get lower temps less power usage and get rid of sli complications. Or I could just wait and see what prices drop to in a few weeks after 7 series gets fully released?

I do like the part about the gpu cooler being compatible with other gpu's so when i do upgrade they might be compatible, but yea... Sorry a few questions that dip into other topics and wasn't completely sure where to post this even. And from the reviews the gpu coolers work great.

Will this work? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181032
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186067&Tpk=gtx%20470&IsVirtualParent=1 x2

Here's a screenshot of my computer, the case is huge. Got 3 fans on the front, a regular 90mm or whatever and a 120mm right before the mobo that can't really be seen, a big fan up top, 2 fans for the cpu cooler, 2 fans on the back. Arrows are direction fan is set to blow, the lines are where the fans are that can't be seen, probably have it setup wrong but just mainly curious if I can do all 3 of those if they will even fit, going to try and search more about the size of the gpu coolers.

Again if this is in a wrong section or whatever I do apologize I can always repost or someone move it to the correct one if needed just figured the watercooling aspect is my main question. Thanks.

They make cases bigger?! I swear this is like the biggest case ever made lol. The cables look worse in the picture then they really are =/ I'm not sure what more i can do for them! No place to really tuck them away I don't think, I mean I can try and look into it again and see what I can muster up. Took the side cover off to see if that helps aswell. Computer heat works great for the winter but the summer....

That should work, as far as you aren't thinking to go :"super" OC should be fine to have the setup you suggested, what I'm not sure about is where you planning to have 3 radiators in that case.
They will need good ventilation and well, seems like you have very limited space-options.

Of course you can always mod your case to pull out the two GPU rads and keep on top the CPU one.

you can get a closed loop for cooling but the thing is when the ambient temps rise the liquid of these components will also rise. i know that as a fact cause i used to use a h100
in my case, my home does not have a/c so every summer being up stairs the room hits 90f - 100f so even with a full loop the temps are still mildly high.

Better cooling will not make your computer generate less heat. Your room will still heat up more or less the same. (probably more as you're removing more heat from the components.)
A better cooler simply removes the heat from your CPU and graphics cards in a more effective matter. That heat doesn't disappear, it get's vented into the surroundings, i.e. your room.

On a side note he should be able to easily fit all that in his case, however; I would HIGHLY advise you go custom water cooling with your rig. All those AIO (All in one) kits seem pretty pointless, when you'd get better results hooking it all up in a single loop, and you'd end up spending less money than you would if you did 3 AIO. It will also be a LOT easier to install a custom loop as you won't have to deal with awkward radiator mounting. Basically with that rig you'd end up putting the corsair in the front 3 fans, putting one of the Arctic Hybrids in the back, and putting one arctic hybrid hooked up to the 200mm fan with a duct, or maybe down by your PSU with some better cable management.

And to address your cable management issue, you need either zipties or cable sleeving with heatshrink.

try and get some used 470 blocks and radiators and water cool them all smile.gif

IDK if putting a h100 on there vs the noctua would really help..

id say just get the GPU coolers and see how much that helps first before deciding on the CPU.

but i still say watercool tongue.gif

or upgrade to a single card solution!

just do this http://www.overclock.net/t/1203528/official-nvidia-gpu-mod-club-aka-the-mod but as the other guy said its not gonna make your room cooler your gpu will be but not your room with that mod

Well im also partially against seeing my gpu's getting to 90c =/ And I just don't like the look of the noctua it's ginormous! And I figured once I remove that it'd free up a ton of space. I have AC and everything, although I put my waterbed infront of my vent and it's far to heavy to move.... so i tend to try and keep my room below 85 or so. I maybe need to find a better way to exhaust warm air from my room?

From what I understood before a w/c system would cost more then those 3 so that's why I was looking at it. If a loop would be cheaper then maybe I will just do that!

My gpu's are at 800/1600/1800 and my cpu is only at 3.5 I think it was unstable above that, maybe im doing it wrong but heat issues I believe with my room getting hot.

How long would be to long for w/c lines, maybe I could run them out my window or into my basement, just drill a small hole in the floor lol, since it's way cooler down there. Probably to much space between floors to easily run a line from my room directly down tho.

Or there is always the idea of single card, I just can't see spending money for no upgrade tho =/

I see some peoples cable management on here and I just don't get how! Maybe I need longer cables or something, but I can barely close the back side of my case cause of all the cables too... May have to revisit this issue since I built the computer a few years ago.

Part of my concern with w/c system is I've heard it's a real risk moving the computer, I plan on moving by the end of the year, so I didn't wanna really risk destroying my computer.

I was looking at the 670 but it seems it'd be a downgrade over my 470's so that seems kinda pointless...I have like $225 in best buy gift cards so was debating that but not for a downgrade! I figured any 6 series would dominate them...maybe 7 series I guess when they release more.

if you have a window, place a fan blowing out into it, make sure you seal the rest of the window with a sheet of cardboard or a pillow.
thats what i do.

just think of your room as a computer case tongue.gif
this should help bring the cooler air from the rest of the house into your room.

oh and also.. if the antec 1200 is as bad as the 900 i had.. i feel for you. without hard mods there isnt much you can do with a 900.
