I have four hard drives/SSDs in total in my PC. Two are hooked up to SATA3_0 and SATA3_1 are are functional/detected

The other two other drives are not detected by BIOS for some reason, but the drives are recognized in windows(I can see the drives in windows and drag & drop the files that are inside them/manipulate them 100% in windows). These drives are hooked up to SATA3_A3 and SATA3_A4.

This is how it looks in BIOS:

SATA3_0: OCZ Agility 3 60GB
SATA3_1: Western Digital 500GB
SATA3_A3: NOT DETECTED
SATA3_A4: NOT DETECTED
SATA3_A2: NOT DETECTED
SATA3_A1: NOT DETECTED
SATA2_2: NOT DETECTED
SATA2_3: NOT DETECTED
SATA2_4: NOT DETECTED
SATA2_5: NOT DETECTED

Again, only two of the drivers plugged into SATA3_A3 and SATA3_A4 ports are not being detected in BIOS, but they ARE being detected in my Windows 7.

I KNOW it's not the SATA cable from my Corsair AX850 PSU (I already tested it by switching the cables).

I KNOW it's not the data cables either, because I replaced them with new ones.

It's probably the ports, and I didn't get time to try ports SATA3_2 and SATA3_1 but will try those tomorrow.

But any suggestions? Am I missing something? I am in ACHI mode. I'm also almost 110% sure these drivers were being detected just 1-2 weeks ago, so I'm not sure what's going on.

And if the ports are dead or the SATA controller is dead, wouldn't ALL the ports be dead? Not just two? I'm hoping I'm missing something here.... please help..... frown.gif

bump

could someone please help?

I just can't understand why they are NOT detected in BIOS, but yet, detected in Windows 7.

That makes no sense to me.

I re-tried using different Data cables and even tried all the SATA III ports and none of them work other than SATA3_0 and SATA3_1.
