[V2] Microsoft: "We Aren't Using Kinect To Snoop." - Page 26

Yes Microsoft will be watching you. Bill Gate's dad was involved with Planned Parenthood which is a Eugenics based organization. He has also admitted that through vaccines we can reduce the world's population by 15 - 20%. He attends Bilderberg regularly. Trust me he has a hand in the cookie jar.

All the money in the world couldn't buy me a second of trust from major corporations. Constitution this and 4th amendment that. It doesn't apply to the gov't if they don't want you to know about it. "To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize." - Voltaire.

The second the first case got out the internet and news would EAT it up like there's no tomorrow. I'm pretty sure, even with the patriot act, that the NSA has to have a search warrant to place a video camera in your house.

I originally came back to post this new news:

Who's going to arrest MS for snooping for the Government? The Government?

What does MS need to say or prove for you to believe them? I guess cameras just are no longer a trustworthy product to purchase right?

Because I buy the original Kinect separate, I can unplug it without noticing any real loss of functionality, etc.
Truth be told, I think they're forcing it on all Xbox One owners in order to facilitate getting more AAA games that use it, but if the Government stepped forward and asked them to update a backdoor for them to be able to watch the camera and hear the mic I wouldn't be surprised if they did it.

Honestly, neither console looks good to me at this point.

Sections 9 and 12 of the updated terms of service are particularly scary :

If you accept the agreement, you “expressly authorize and consent to us accessing or disclosing information about you, including the content of your communications, in order to: (a) comply with the law or respond to lawful requests or legal process; (b) protect the rights or property of Microsoft, our partners, or our customers, including the enforcement of our agreements or policies governing your use of the Service; or (c) act on a good faith belief that such access or disclosure is necessary to protect the personal safety of Microsoft employees, customers, or the public.”

Also scary? they reserve the right to monitor your voice and chat sessions using their new camera system. Personal privacy? Not so personal, not so private.

“You should not expect any level of privacy concerning your use of the live communication features (for example, voice chat, video and communications in live-hosted gameplay sessions) offered through the Service.” They obviously won’t – and can’t – monitor every single system at the same time, but they say that they have the right to do so “to the maximum extent permitted by law.”

Microsoft also “reserves the right at all times to disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, or to edit, refuse to post or to remove any information or materials, in whole or in part, in Microsoft’s sole discretion.” Break the law in front of your Kinect system? You could be up against the law.

Sounds like typical legal mumbo jumbo to cover their butts so if a serious search warrant comes through and they obey it they won't get sued. Almost every agreement you sign has this in it but OH NOES MICRO$OFT!1

Omg the FEMA camps are real and Obama is coming to get us! I feel embarrassed for conspiracy theorists.

OCN makes me laugh sometimes, well more so the users but also humanity.

What a funny race. Humans, I honestly don't know how we are still alive after how dumb people are acting over things nowadays.

I can't comprehend the brain capacity some people have, it's just not right, we are in the 21st century and people are acting like this? how bout you ship off to Africa and go live in the jungle with no internet, no phones, no tv and just live.

I can't believe people are complaining about tech this good, it just doesn't make sense.

I think you're missing the point of what most of the opposition are saying. It's about options. We could all put our conspiracy hats on and say they could use it for spying etc. and so forth, but not many of us are really going to know for sure. Not everyone feels comfortable with something like this. The point is that they're forcing this upon everyone who purchases a xbone. It should be a separate device that you have to plug in just as it is with the 360. Options.

If anything, I think they've integrated it into the console for the fact that they can release all the crapware that uses it and instead of a large portion just not buying the separate gimmick. People will now have it already available to them and they might be more curious or tempted to pick up a kinect title. Consumers are kind of idiots that way.

I don't particularly care since I really don't like the closed off nature of console platforms. Only thing I care about in relation to this new consoles is what sort of effect it's going to have on the PC platform.

Not just that, but it might kickstart Kinect development...Rather than a few kiddie games with some random special features in AAA games like the Kinect is now, they probably envision it having more of a part of the experience for all games.

but lets not juts focus on MS here. Google are also at that convention this very day as we speak! as are royalty and quite a few western leaders, the rothschild's are there to pass on the torch. Plus its completely closed to the press and public TOTAL cloak and dagger. Look at Kinect, Look at google glasses, look at NSA/FBI searches. In the UK facebook and skype is just about to get the go ahead to be monitored 24/7 by the security services without warrant. Do you think Gmail is safe, yahoo is also been in the news for spying practices.

As many sensible (its not conspiracy anymore) people are saying on this thread and others and in other forums and in public that the freedom to privacy we once thought we enjoyed this year has clearly being eroded in front of our eyes. Not only that, due to networks and international co-operation there is a new internet running subtlety underneath the consumer version which is completely boundary less in terms of access to any digital data about your persons, personal and private.

NWO ... sounded daft a few years ago (actually there is a leaked letter that shows this).. now not so much, try escape the bubble and see what happens.
