Well take your pick theres the 840 pro from samsung, the neutron from corsair for two tried and true ssds

hard drive? pick any 7200 rpm drive that has enough capacity and hope it doesnt arrive DOA(because thats what drives do these days, apparently) unless you wanna do r0/r5, in which case pick multiple tongue.gif

+1 on the samsung 840 pro & corsair neutron, though, IMO .. any SSD is good enough tongue.gif

So in your op. which one should I get.. WD CAviar Green 3TB or Caviar Black 2TB?... I need as much space as possible. It's going to be used for storing a huge movies and music collection plus all my games smile.gif I don't wanna lose my data man tongue.gif

Hard drives fail, that's the nature of the product, always have sensitive data you don't want to lose on more than one drive tbh
Either would serve you fine, there's also the Toshiba 7200 3tb on sale for only $40/tb atm
You also could look into enterprise line hdds... Not sure if they're really more reliable but you probably get data recovery service or something.

tbh I've had a pretty bad experience with Toshiba drives ,but I'll look into it.
btw Caviar Black is supposed to be quite trustworthy though, isn't it?
Thanks biggrin.gif

I recommand you samsung 840 ssd
they are fast!

For hard drives, I've used Seagate, WD, Samsung and Toshiba
I recommend you seagate and samsung
Seagate drives are quite well built (it fell from table once and still works fine.)
I had bad experience with toshiba and wd drives also, killing all the pictures and movies that I had......
