E6600 Week 27B - Good overclocker? Need advice!

Hello. I just today received my E6600. From the looks of it, it is a 27B. Is there anyone who has used a 27B that can tell me if it is a good overclocker and if it requires low voltages? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Mikey122687 told me that the week 28Bs can do 4Ghz on air. You should see what you can take it to.

As a side note you should fill out your system specs so we can help you without asking what parts you have

4Ghz on air?!

When you get near to that speed you need alot more volts to get a relatively small amount of extra Mhz.

I'll believe it when i see it.

Also, i think the highest OC on a conroe is something like 4.5Ghz on phase, so 4Ghz on air... Just doesnt seem realistic to me.

EDIT: Bah, slow to post... me go read the proof now.

Slade, thats a E6400.

The E6400 uses a totally different core. (Allendale, rather than Conroe)

And 24c @ 1.57v?

Bull****.

And look at that CPUZ screen. No decimals. I have never seen CPUZ give a reading like that. It normally comes out like 2996.67 or something like that rather than 3000Mhz, for example.

And the CPUZ screenshot says 1.213v, @ 4Ghz.

EDIT AGAIN: Oops, he says 24c AMBIENT.

EDIT: just ignore me, im bitter that i got a 27a.

I thought the only difference between the two are the cache?
