trouble with my computer, need help fixing it! - Page 2

Just finished checking the SDD, windows said it was fine in the scan with no errors. One thing I did find though was I tried pulling up my boot options again and while it doesn't show in the UEFI bios, I found a list of boot options and my SSD was in it, I gave that a try and got an error message saying it was inaccessible with the accompanying code. 0xc00000f.

I looked under the SATA options in my bios and the only option other then changing it from AHCI to IDE or RAID was the option to set the SATA ports from disabled to hot.

right, i downloaded the manual - in your BIOS, go into the Advanced tab, then into the onboard devices configuration, and halfway down you'll see options for the marvell storage controller. set the first option to achi mode, and the second to enabled, then go to the boot options and try setting the ssd as the boot device, then save the settings and reboot.

It is already set to ACHI and enabled. Thank you for taking the time to help btw.

hmmm and does it still give the error when you set it to boot? (i'm lost with that BTW, never played with UEFI BIOS yet!) Which port is the SSD plugged into on the board - the top two nearest your CPU will be the marvell ones, the two next top that are your intel 6Gbps ones, and the bottom 4 nearest the corner of the board are your 3Gbps ones. I think the marvell ones are navy blue, the intel 6G ones grey, and the intel 3G ones blue.
