so who preordered grid 2? - Page 5

Are the menus obnoxious like Dirt 2/3's, or is it more like a need for speed game where you don't spend 75% of the time waiting on silly voiceovers and confirmations that you want to do this action for sure, with unskippable animations? The game looks interesting to me but that's honestly a dealbreaker... if it's like that again...

I tried that with Dirt 2 and it didn't work ever... confused.gif . It just kept playing exceedingly long (10-20s+ animations) and annoying voiceovers with most menu moves, oftentimes multiple ones. I want to actually play the races, not watch menu animations eek.gif . Is it similar to how Dirt 2 worked on that front, or has it been fixed? I actually was interested in Dirt Showdown but have been avoiding it due to hearing the menus are obscenely time-consuming.

I hear ya, all Dirt games are like that, even showdown. I just press ENTER like a crackhead after his fix and bypass all the animations biggrin.gif

But yea, pressing keys repeatedly can get annoying for some. I guess I just got used to it.

The issue lies more in SP, once you go MP it's not that much of a problem.

Oh ROFL! I know exactly what you mean and although there's a bit too much pomp for my tastes, it's not bad @ all. It feels polished like COD4 if that makes sense. I've been racing all night, so it's time for me to nap through the day!

Oh yeah, member how I said you could change your car and stuff around wo/ leaving your online party...you can't. wink.gif

Also, my Steam preorder came w/ all the DLC. Not sure if it still does.

Edit: Oh wow! It's $50 for the game and $24 for the DLC now!! Sucks for those that didn't preorder! biggrin.gif

Sucks for the ones that didn't pre order ?

Sucks even more if you did and the game is terrible.

I will never fall into pre order bs.
