AMD very important to poor countries

Thread Starter
I hope AMD does not suffer further, many third world places would suffer if AMD budget value
cpu were gone.

I don't think many people realize how important AMD is to people of poor nations.

Example intel cpu $150 3570K

Here am3 mb surplus hp,dell, gateway from canceled line or warranty over surplus $30
Cpu sempron $30
Memory 2 or 4gb generics $20
Refurbish hdd $25
Psu 350 watt antecs $35
Case $15 garbage case $15

$155 entire amd system

Most people in Bulgaria make >$5000 usd yearly. Many more are $1500 a YEAR.

So AMD is crucial to many places.

Sorry to be so strong in opinion

Okay?
Celerons are pretty cheap...

A lot of the ARM stuff should help drive down low power/low cost equipment that may be suitable for the target market you've outlined.

I agree with your sentiment, but Intel would be SERIOUSLY remiss to not offer processors in all price brackets if AMD went under and they somehow managed to not be broken up by the govt.

Its a valid fear, but I wouldnt be too worried.
AMD is doing pretty well compared to all the dire news reports floating around, and they are doing a good job of building a team to really get them going again.

Not to mention, for the first time in almost a decade, AMD has CPU advantage over intel in certain areas.
Low power mobile being one of the most profitable for them.
