MAC-113 120mm fan mount compatiblity (thickness)

Thread Starter
I was looking around and could not find any information as to the thickness of fans the MAC-113 support, and how fan selection could effect compatibility with the MAC-203 hard drive cage expansion kit. So are there limitations in the thickness of fan with the MAC-113, and does fan selection effect compatibility with the MAC-203?

Thanks.

Looking at mine 120mmx25mm fans are about max you can fit into the fan cage with a small amount of room for something like a fan filter.
If you look at MAC-102 you can see how the cage is attached to the flexbay mount.

And what´s the space between the MAC-102 fan mount and the outer side of the flex bay?
Will a fan and a dust filter fit in there?
Same distance for the flex bay radiator mounts?

I am not quite sure what you mean the pictures on the caselabs site show you have the items look and my previous post let you know that space is about 25mm thick.

It is exactly the same part as MAC-113 but with a MAC-203 preinstalled.

there is no gap between the 2 items as they are screwed flush together.

Sorry, I´ve been up all night and I thought SAL0x2328 was asking the same I am, but I have just read through and he isn´t.

Anyway, let´s see if I can explain myself...
Flex bay fan mount, MAC-113 you see it´s two pieces, right? you said a 25mm thick 120mm fan with a dust wilter will fit in. OK, understood thumb.gif
What about standard HDD cage? MAC-101, will also a 25mm fan with a dust filter fit on it?

It looks to be about the same size as a normal MAC - 113 minus the front grill, but beyond that since I do not have one I cannot tell you.
Shoot Caselabs an email regarding the question about dimensions and they will be able to help you:)

I emailed caselabs and they confirmed that it is for 25mm fans but stated they will have a deeper version soon for 38mm fans.
