You have chosen a topic, however, that people on OCN love which is AMD vs. Nvidia, so your thread has gotten a ton of responses like all AMD vs Nvidia threads do.
If you would like my suggestion, I would not quadfire your 6970s with a 6990 because not only is that a power hungry solution, but the drivers are a headache and the scaling between GPUs is worse as you add more. I wo
uld either go with a pair of 7970s or 780s along with a new 3770K or 4770K processor (when it gets released). You are going to get 1,000 different suggestions, but ultimately it is a decision you have to make.

I said back on page 2 that x2 7990's was bad idea because of poor scaling, performance and stuttering issues, then an AMD fanboy told me I was posting misinfo and someone else said I was generalizing. Even after I put up linked article to AnandTech....lol ... That's not very nice is it?
I realize I'm a nobody here, but can I just mention that I'm a Hardware Engineer and 8yr member at Guru3D with 21,000 posts (21K), stating misinfo and generalizing are 2 things I don't do.
Just the facts
Anyway for the record I have 3 systems and they are all AMD so i can't be called biased either.
