The problem with 4 gpus is that not many games could utilize it. In 99% of the games in the market, 4 gpus will perform worst than 2-3 gpus. Show me any gaming benchmark out there where 4 gpus perform better than 2 or 3 gpus. I bet you won't find them because most of the time, they perform worst, even worst than a single gpu. At the moment, 4 gpus only good for benching and not for gaming. Unless if you don't gaming often or more towards benching, you're good to go. But otherwise no. wink.gif

By the time he gets around to buying, & installing, AMD's new driver for 7000 series in CFX should be out.

What I would suggest is wait for that driver to release before making any purchase and see what the results are like, then decide.

I'd go i7 4770k with 2 7990's, or 690's, personally i rather Nvidia, but its up to you
post #166 of 276
I'd recommend the 3930k and X79 for more pci-e lanes, and then go with 3way SLI 780s instead of the CFX 7990s or SLI 690s but if you have your heard set on dual gpu cards I'd personally take the 7990 over the 690 due to more ram, but maybe a new 790 might be released

So now that Haswell is out what are people expecting out of it? Is intels other chipsets z77 gonna be worse or better then haswell? Iam still gaming on my Fx 6100 I don't see a need to upgrade just yet but I will within a few months once I have all the parts I need set aside.I don't do benchmarks, dont get me wrong I wouldn't mind once in a while beating someone on say Heaven benchmark but I don't sit there 24 hrs a day trying to set a record lol, I care about getting the highest possible fps in-game with all the settings turned up-Beyond that point nothing really matters to me other then price.thumb.gif
