Love the Idea!!! How are you going to get all the wires out to your components, i.e monitors, keyboard, mouse...?

Thanks!

In between the top exhaust fans of the desk will be a 'cable management hole". The sketch drawing I posted doesn't show it clearly. Basically the same type of hole that you see in office desks where they feed Ethernet and phone cabling through.

I am undecided yet on how I will handle "hiding" the monitor (3 power + 3 display) cables that will go up to the wall mounts. I want something that can be easily removed since I have LAN parties @ the house and I will need to take 2 of the monitors off to use on 2 other systems.

thumb.gif So far so good (being my first case mod AND building something out of wood from scratch). I am not an expert wood worker so I am hoping I get the desired end result. biggrin.gif

I don't know.... maybe another plexi-glass top panel on the left side of the desk to store my headphones? Actually, that might just be the solution. Great question Eclipsis! thumb.gif

Small update.

Even though the desk will have positive air pressure I want as much control as possible where air can/cannot come into the desk (I hate dust bunnies mad.gif ). I spent some time putting in stainable wood filler along any area where two pieces of wood connected. This picture was taken while waiting for it to dry so I can sand it down.

Added trim to the top piece (not sanded at this point).

Rough first cuts done on the top piece. I am going to add another cut on the left side so I have a second access panel on that side of the desk plus a place to store my headphones.
