Any noticeable difference color wise?

I'm 'slowly' buying the fittings for my water cooled mini ITX build.
Slowly because i simply can't afford all the fitting i needed in a single purchase, and mainly because until i had a few fittings, i couldn't really size up exactly what i'd need.

My problem is i've been happily buying Bitspower Matt Black fittings based on what the store i was buying from had in their stock lists.
Unfortunately, they've now sold out on some of the fittings from my 'wishlist' and have no ETA on new stock. My next store option also has a decent range of Bitspower fittings, however, they're not Matt Black, they're Carbon Black fittings.

My question is, does anyone know if there's a noticeable color difference between matt black and carbon black ?
I'm only going to be needing a 30mm extension and a 90degree triple rotary, so unless there's a very noticeable difference i doubt it'll matter too much.

From photos i've looked at best i can tell is matt black fittings have a green o-ring while the carbon black have a red o-ring. I can't find any pics of the 2 different color fittings next to each other to see if it's really noticeable. They both appear to be black with a slightly gloss finish.

It doesn't look like it. These are a couple of pictures I found on another forum (OCAU)

Not 100% sure they are the ones your after (as the only difference I can see too is the green/red o-ring) but these look like the fittings.

^ Looks like another photo of Bundymania showing off his collection of fittings, lol. rolleyes.gif

@Mechanisation - Seems like the Carbon Black fittings have less of a shine to them. Which oddly enough gives it a more natural "matte" look. I never found Bitspower's matte black to look matte at all. But then again, I don't have any in person. I use EK fittings. thumb.gif

If you do a little bit of basic searching there is usually information available.

There is a difference between the "matte black" from PC Casegear and the Carbon black from the Koolroom.
The matte black is not really all that matte. Its a tiny bit more glossy than the carbon. I have fittings of both types and although you can see the difference with good cameras and specialised lighting in real life it is hard to tell besides the o-rings

You guys are great. smile.gif Thanks for the info.

Jakusonfire even nailed the stores i'm buying from (guess there really arn't many options in Aust.).
Those pics you linked to were exactly what i was looking for.

There's definitely a noticeable difference, but not really color wise, more the gloss finish, i think i can live with that.

Thanks again.
