[Chiphel} New specs of Radeon HD8000 leaked - Page 32

Hope these specs are true. I will definitely consider saving for an eventual 8990 .

I do however have 3 panels.. but only game on one of them at a time.

I'm not attacking you it's more a frustration. I really want nvidia to allow 5x1 or AMD to raise their game. I think the new 8970 could be AMDs calling. The 7970 was a step in the right direction and I think they will make more progress again this year. Lets hope!

But what we are saying is you should be able to buy a product and use it how it's ment to be straight out of the box. No hacks or mods. The Titan needed a little work but that's because it wasn't reaching its full potential. But a card that needs to have hacks installed to run something is not good for business. This is why Ati/AMD is where it is. 2nd place.

Anyways

So Hokies are you saying u have a way for me to run a setup of 5x1 portrait eyefinity that won't stutter or screen tearing or have lag on one or 2 of the screens and run at 144fps.

I do not have 5 screens to have an issue fix for that.

So like hatlesschimp asked and others I believe. How did you fix the screen tearing or lag on just one screen while still running at 144fps? Assuming you have that type of screen.

If you have a 60Hz screen did you set the frame rate limit to something like 59 fps or 60 fps with afterburner? I believe that was supposed to be a simple fix for stuttering.

? There is nothing to fix?

If the screen tears use Rad Pro and use Triple buffering force V sync? Nothing hard..

I can't believe that you don't have stuttering with a triple GPU. Especially with crossfire...but yeah that is a way to fix it. A little annoying though but performance is worth it. V sync sucks to use. I hate the lag.

I can't believe someone leaked info about the new AMD 8000 series just as nvidia are starting to release all of their new 700 series line of gpu's.

Do we all not read the same stuff?

And I just finished Bioshock... smooth as silk on three screens. thumb.gif Didn't do a thing. Added a frame-limiter and vsync.... wonderful. Except for the game itself. That was terrible.

Not everyone has had problems with CF but i can completely understand your frustrations if you did. Vega in particular has run CF and Quadfire setups on a triple portrait and a 5x1 portrait with no problems that i recall, so there are people that play on similar setups as you with no problems.

Absolutely whether they're true or not is another story but there is no doubt some of it is to diminish the hype of the 780.

Well believe it .. Stuttering was mostly hyped, it as not as big of a problem as they make it out to be.

Few people suffer from.. and from those few even fewer cannot fix it..

I have 4 7950s in each of 2 of my other systems.. but i however do not game with those.. just the main.
Most people with triple crossfire use eyefinity, and that is where people have problems with stuttering.

Ok cool. I found a recent example of a person using one monitor. A Dell U3011.
http://hardforum.com/showpost.php?p=1039922409&postcount=18

And here with 3-way SLI you can see the comparisons in frametimes between 1 and 3 monitors. The frametimes get worse with 3 monitors and I bet they're much worse now with eyefinity.
http://us.hardware.info/reviews/4440/nvidia-geforce-gtx-770-review-incl-3-way-sli-and-frametimes

Well that's nice to know then that you can have a good experience with just one monitor at least with 3 way crossfire.
