[Chiphel} New specs of Radeon HD8000 leaked - Page 33

Thread cleaned.

Guys, please knock it off with the petty/pointless bickering and focus on the subject at hand.

Thanks!

Absolutely whether they're true or not is another story but there is no doubt some of it is to diminish the hype of the 780.

First of all, Vega's a freak. I obviously mean that in the best possible terms. Second of all, he had no problems that he would admit to. No one invests in that kind of hardware, and says... man this stutters in that game, terrible scaling in another.... but it's awesome in that game. Thirdly, he's all NV now.

You have to take people at their word. I'm sure that in some games, Crossfire is quite capable. I've seen it in BF3. I think Dirt 3 was good also if I remember correctly. Very good scaling... smooth game play. I had Crossfire 6950s for months on a single monitor. Decent enough. I went to 480 SLI and was blown away. But then I get a hold of a couple of 7970s and Skyrim is all over the place. Shadows flickering. In BF3 also.
AMD is notorious for poor optimizations.

It just makes no sense to deny it, if AMD themselves admit to it.

And if u feel that way make ur own thread about it.

This thread is about the Next gen Amd cards... not issues u had with drivers months ago..

The majority of us do not feel that way.

I had 4 680s and with overclocking i can tell u a 7950 is the faster card..

Only differences i see gaming wise between the two is nothing...

The onlything driver side i see is... Overclocking with Amd and crashing seems to bug amd drivers out faster then Nvidia's.

It's completely fine supporting amd with their xfire issues, hope for new cards and wait for drivers fixes , but yeah let's ignore the overpriced nice and working gtx 780 ....lol , i dont have issues paying those extra 100$ for a headache free experience...

Most of the people that seem to have X fire and Amd driver issues seem to be Nvidia Owners?

All I can say is, if AMD gets it fixed for HD 8000, I'll be pleased.

For single-card micro-stutter the new 13.5 Beta made everything buttery smooth for me, but I haven't crossfired 7970s and don't plan to so I can't talk about that.

However, I did see the MASSIVE improvements the beta driver made for the 7990 - did you see it? It pretty much 'cures' the microstutter experienced in multi-GPU setups.

Also their Ubuntu drivers are good, but most people don't care about that :/
