HD8850 = HD 7870

I read that there is no specific difference except higher TDP.

HD 7900 series has a very good OC potential, so can we expect better results despite the increased in TDP ?

A 5 TFLOP single GPU AMD card would be great for OpenCL accelerated programs. Nvidia doesn't prioritize opencl performance because they have CUDA, so many programs that use opencl are still faster on a 7970.
