Compared to GTX 680, GTX 770 should be 5-10% faster. The price will be lower though, near that of the GTX 670, at $399 / €399 to $449 / €449.

found this, I hope they stick to this pricing.

Given that you can get a 3GB GTX 780 for $649, I would have a hard time thinking they would be able to sell the GTX 770 for any MORE than $549. And that is a new GPU chip, not just a repackaged 6xx series. I'm thinking more in the $499 to $549 range TOPS.

just to clear something up. A 580 has nothing on my 670. 670's are right behind 680's in performance.

this. much more than 5%. 570 was a 480 with improved cores and driver support, thus a little faster. the 670 is nothing like the 580 and is ~5% behind a 680.not interested in the 770, but i like the lightnings.

if these benchmarks turn out to be true, All I can say is Nvidia are a bunch of greedy bastards.
Can't believe I actually support a company that pushes out a "New" range of cards and there is almost NO difference to the previous gen cards but the "new" cards come with a shiny new price...lol rolleyes.gif

Well done, Nvidia becoming the new Apple...lol

its the same card is 680 why in hell 500 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All those military-grade components and extra power phases are pretty much worthless when Nvidia has locked down the voltages on all these cards.

The original GTX 680 Lightning was shipped with a chip that allowed the extra voltage to be added with a simple bios flash - however you can rest assured that Nvidia will no longer allow this chip on any cards to actually HARD-LOCK voltages.

GG - this card is no better than buying a reference - if only for the better heatsink.

You guys really don't know 3gb is a no go on 256-bit if you want optimum perfomance ?

3gb is only possible on 192 or 384-bit bus

Tantalum capacitors....
Quote:
The tantalum capacitor distinguishes itself from other capacitors in having high capacitance per volume and weight. Tantalum capacitors have lower equivalent series resistance (ESR), lower leakage, and higher operating temperature than other electrolytic capacitors, although other types of capacitors are even better in these regards.

Tantalum capacitors are considerably more expensive than any other commonly used type of capacitor, so they are used only in applications where the small size or better performance are important
