Sounds right... man I'm stumped as to its poor performace in your situation.

I'm certain that you have fully cleaned and re-seated your 9500, so that woudn't be it.

Sorry Bro...I'm tapped out on this.

Anyone else have some insight or help?

Find a way to get a fan to blow directly on it. If you have a top fan reverse it, or if you can get a window/side fan try and get air to blow directly to your 9500. I have heard of good success from people that have a fan directly on their hsf.
