Having trouble getting V7 to download

Thread Starter
I finally decided to make the switch to V7.The tutorial looked simple enough but I cannot get the installer program to download. I followed the instructions to make IPv4 a priority and I am using Win 7 so no issues with the correct version of Microsoft .NET.I am running as administrator. The symptom is no action when I double-click on the icon to start the installer download. If I try and use the download (where it actually says "download") link I end up getting the "cannot connect to this web page" message. I have a really slow internet connection (never over 1.5Mbps) I wonder if this could be the issue (although other downloads work).I have tried on 4 different rigs and none can download V7.I ask if someone has an idea about what could possibly be the issue.

Thanks very much. + rep ROG. Now lets see if I can "get er done".I was running fine for a good while but yesterday the only thing that came running the 6.34 client "naked" so to speak were 8084WU's.

Hello ROG,I ask if you can give a bit of a tutorial on what you have done. I assume you have put the installer on a server in the cloud. I clicked on both the links, some highly commercial "stuff" loaded but I see no reference to folding @ home. How am I to retrieve this file?

EDIT,OK I got it,mainly from throwing caution to the wind and just going for it. Finally there was that green arrow under "set"

EDIT: I did get another 8084,the PPD swings from 22,000 up to 40,000.Since it only takes me 2 hrs to complete one of these it will be interesting to see what my PPD turns out to be. I had to slide the duty bar to "full" and I put in my details under "Identity". If I really do get 40K for each and I do 11-12 of these that will be great but perhaps I am not understanding the PPD figure.

ROG, no it is up and running. As no smp points have yet to appear (but gpu points have) I do not really know what is going to be the result. I would not think that I must do the 10 smp without bonus again. The base smp points have not yet appeared either. I will let it run and see what I get credit for. I have completed 3 8084's since installing V7 today, but no points have shown up.

EDIT: Well the smp points showed up, well under 2K per 8084 WU. Not really any better than I was getting running without V7.I an only getting 8084 WU's. I am running a I7-970 @4.05Ghz.

EDIT: I get these 8084's that have a preferred deadline of 4.4 days done in 2hrs 10 min and they pay less than 2k.
