Express cache question

I have a Samsung series 7 and have changed out the intel ssd I put in it back to the 1TB drive as the 180g ssd wasn't enough storage, however, I screwed up the 8G iSSD express cache.

I formatted back to HFS and have reinstalled express cache software, but what do I do to see if it is caching correctly? I opened performance monitor and it shows the 8G''s as disk 1 and I see it spike now and then but I would like to know of another way to check this in a better way.

Anyone know? I know sandisk has actual software for their drives but what do you do to see onboard cache

Is there a way to use the command prompt maybe to check that the drive is working correctly with the expresscache drivers?
