well ive decided to go back to ATI again ive got an XFX GF 7300 and im thinking of getting an XV Radeon X800 GTO AGP Card (highest in my price range) what are your thoughts as to whether i should get this beast or not

im pretty sure the 7 series card you have is much better then the 800

no seriously this GF 7300 GT i have is real slow its nothing spectacular at all

i would even go as far to say as its not much better than the 6200 i had

i owned an x1300 and an x850.. i chose the 850 after i picked up the 1300.. the thing with the 7xxx cards is they have more shader models and stuff like that.. if your gonna upgrade your card get at least an x1600 or better.. or stick with the 7xxx like a 7600 or 7900

An x800 will give you sheer raw power however you will loose SM3.0 so your images will not look as pretty.

i was going to get an x1600 but when i went to order one none of the aussie online stores had any left and the main site i use i had the marketer tell me to get the x800 anyway he said is was a bit faster for some unknown reason... i dont know its all too much lol

sometimes you have to give up a little performance to get a lot more quality i think a few frames less per second is worth having the SM 3.0 thats why id take the x1600 over the x800 ..
