I'm pretty much settled on the GTX 670 FTW (again, picking Nvidia not solely because of speed, but also secondary features)
It seems this is now $375 on Newegg, down about $25 from last I checked. Plus, it has a mail-in rebate.
Before I consider getting it, I wanted to hear opinions from other people on whether I should wait for prices to fall further. I'm not on a super-tight budget, or desperate for an upgrade, I just try to be conscious of where I can save money. (I figure some people here might remember how transitions from 5xx to 6xx or similar go.)
The prices for 670s have already fallen precipitously. For example, you can get MSI's GTX 670 Power Edition
for $330 AR $20 right now. The thing is that the EVGA 670 FTW had an original MSRP $20 higher than the $399 that reference-design cards had, so I'm not sure it'll fall much further in the foreseeable future.
In short, I believe that all the significant near-term pricing adjustments for the 670 in light of the 770's release have already been made. You have to remember that the 670 will be more powerful than the 760, which will act as a floor on how low the discounts can reasonably go.Edited by svenge - 6/21/13 at 3:08pm
