Hey all.
just ordered this card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133489

Never had a PNY before i was more on AMD side, what do u guys think about this name brand, i wanted to go with EVGA but they all sold out and it might take a while for them to re-stock like a month so i just got the PNY version.

What do u guys think about Overclocking this 780 i know they OC a little but not as much as i would like it prolly

The cards are all the same thing being manufactured at the same place right now, so other than warranty there's no difference. That said, PNY has a lifetime warranty upon registration on many of their cards, (1 year otherwise), which is pretty nice. The 780 actually can OC quite a significant amount smile.gif.

All the reference 780s are the same at this point, so I don't see any problems.

oh ok thx guys, now would the SC 780 version will OC higher then the stock one?
Nearly all 780's at the moment are identical or reference, so they're just the standard cards with different stickers on the fan.

EVGA has the ACX card, as well as the Hydro Copper 2 card coming in the future, and Gigabyte has a windforce card too.
They are all the reference PCB, just with a better cooler on top.

When it comes to reference cards like yours, the only differences are what the company decides to put in the box, and the warranty that they will give you.
OC'ing potential is the same on all cards - it's down to the 'silicon lottery'.

EDIT: If anything, the 'SC' 780 might have less overclocking head room, as it has already had some of its potential 'used up' with the factory overclock.
I really don't think it's worth paying extra for higher clocked cards, like EVGA's, when you could just do that yourself for free.
