Hello Everyone,

Its that time of the year again - the time to build a new computer of course!. I live in Toronto (Canada, sorry eh) so I get to buy components from NCIX, CanadaComputers, MemoryExpress, newegg.ca etc.

I believe the Haswell 4770K will cost around 380$ CAD and a decent motherboard that could do SLI would costs another 330$ CAD, these are just estimations so please bear with me. I want to get a 850W psu (Seasonic or Corsair AX) which costs around 185-200$. A 2TB or 3TB HDD, I already have an 840 Pro SSD (256GB). I need a case that could support beefy GPUs (SLi) and a prebuilt watercooling CPU setup (i know im a noob sorry tongue.gif). Now along comes the choice of a GPU and a monitor and I'm kinda stumped here. The sig rig in my post just got sold for 1500$ CAD so I have that amount in hand. I have around 1.5k to maybe 2k to spend in addition to the 1500$ amount I received for my old pc. I already have a gaming mouse and keyboard. I don' t want to go the AMD route (preference, please bear with me). How would you guys go about this ?

Looking forward to feedback! please don't rage at me whistle.gif

You can find just as good or better PSU´s these days then the Corsair AX

If you are open to other options that is?

Always good to see another Ontarian on OCN, I'm just down the 401 east. My biggest suggestion for your new rig is to take the plunge and build a watercooling loop yourself if you're going to watercool at all. If nothing else, it's a great experience getting it all setup, very satisfying.
