You dont have to buy it if you dont want to..........

From my experience, DLC is nearly a requirement. If you don't have the latest releases it's more difficult to find servers with people actually playing. Why can't EA just bundle all the DLC in the game and make it, I don't know, one complete game?

It's nothing but a money grab.

Because, simply, the cost of it would make the base game out of peoples range. As I said before, PC games today are £30 in UK... over a decade ago, PC games were £30. So, prices have not increased in a decade... 10 years, whilst production costs have.

So, either they include the content and charge £50-£60... or they keep the base game price the same and let consumers decide if they want the DLC or not.

I hope you are satisfied when every game comes with microtransactions and launch day DLC.

Actually no. I buy one game at full price in an entire year and I am responsible for the state gaming is in? There are very few games I will spend time playing lately and BF3 is one of them sorry if my enjoying it gets in the way of your idea of a perfect world. If you don't think it is worth it then don't buy it.

Because after playing the same thing for a long time...people start to get burnt out...having something to look forward to like Aftermath and End Game, kept me interested in BF3 for 1.5 years...

But I guess that is america...wanting them to sell a game for 50-60 bucks and then say we will continue release maps and stuff for free while you guys dont pay any more money.

And don't say bf3 wasnt a complete game...Had a decent enough single player and a normal amount of MP maps and game modes....But again, as americans....its never enough...

I might believe that if the DLC were released months after the game itself, but it's due out at the exact same time. It's a shame.

Expansions packs weren't free tho. Has anyone even thought of the idea that the DLC came about because they reached their deadline or the game was ALREADY COMPLETED. Just because they just announced the DLC doesn't mean they had all the time in the world to put it on the game.

It's got nothing to do with timing....

It's got everything to do with generating extra revenue to maintain profit margins and covering production costs. They make content optional instead of mandatory and driving up base price. The timing is irrelevant.

I mean, personally i'd rather pay less for the base game and have the option of DLC, than have to pay double the amount of the same game with the "extra" content. That's my preference.

Who else is there to kill?

The terrorizing brown people and the Pinko Sovussians were killed in Battleduty 3. So, time to shoot up some Asians in Call of Battle 4.

Fieldduty 5 will obviously have the USA invading Canada and claiming it as the 51st state of the union; Canadachusetts.
