I hope you are satisfied when every game comes with microtransactions and launch day DLC.

And seriously what's the point of pre-ordering to get the «free» DLC; we all know that people who buy bf4 will have to shell out an extra 50$ for the premium bullcrap anyway.

Call of Battlefield XXIV : Black China 8 of the Rising Warfare.

Anyone heard a date for the beta? Hope it does not turn into a hacker fest like the BF3 beta did.

really? how come bethesda manages to dev tools out to players everytime? why were devs in the past always able to?

i'm not saying releasing such tools is free, but to say that it is somehow prohibitively expensive, well it obviously isn't. which is why it is simply intentionally avoided to make us pay $5 for a map, when in the past we would have gotten it for free

Did you just compare Battlefield 2's expansion to these DLC? Seriously? The Booster Packs (Euro Force and Armored Fury) == current DLC. 'Special Forces' was much more than these DLC.

If people can't tell the difference between DLC (which technically can be anything as long as it's downloadable) and a proper expansion, then I pity them.

And Bad Company 2 had free map packs. And considering current Battlefield 'DLC' is nothing but half a dozen maps with recycled assets and maybe, maybe, a new weapon skin, sorry, new weapon, and a new vehicle skin, sorry, new vehicle, is it really that CRAZY to expect them for free, or CHEAPER?

But no amount of facts will ever change the minds of the DLC defenders and apologists. *sigh*

If you don't find value, don't buy it.

To be honest, premium is pretty cheap... you must be fairly tight up to not afford that haha.

Really??? Really??

Euro Force Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
The EU’s military might is brought to bear across three new maps, in four new vehicles and with seven new weapons, all pulled straight from the Europe’s best and bravest. Battlefield’s unique blend of go-anywhere environments and intense firefights are born anew in seaside skirmishes, oil field tussles and northern Chinese scraps.

Looks like maps and new weapons to me...Oh an it cost what 15 bucks...This sounds alot like the expansion, sorry DLC they just announced...

Armored Fury

What is this....more maps and weapons and vehicles....

Face it..They have been doing this since BF2....No big deal...If you dont want it...dont buy it...As for me...I am probably skipping BF4 alltogether only because I still find value in BF3 and I have way to many other games that need playing...If I start to lose that value then I might pick up BF4....But I don't see any issue with them announcing DLC, expansions, boosters, or any other long term support for the game as long as it is not day 1......

It's not about the service being expensive or not, it's about EA milking us over a rehash of the same old games.

And seriously dont bring up the ''you must be poor lol'' argument, it just makes you look like either a spoiled brat or a sheep.

im just hoping that this doesnt turn into a game where the only way to not get screwed is to pre-order. im saving judgement until i see more footage of gameplay and details on everything before i decide on a purchase. i dont care about pre-ordering but i dislike being forced to do it for something unknown just to save money rolleyes.gif

Well don't buy it then haha... let others enjoy it if they find value in it.

It's not a hard equation... don't like it/no value = don't buy it... what more can you say hahah. I'll be buying it biggrin.gif

Spent a lot of time on BF and really enjoyed the Aftermath and Armoured Kill expansions. Great value for money smile.gif
