Eh. If you have the money to blow, and you see yourself somewhere in the future going 1440p surround or greater, also maxing out games with supersamples (basically downscaling a greater than your surround resolution to the latter) then probably yes. Not that it will be of any great (or noticeable for that matter) difference in the way you perceive the image, but some people are OCD when it comes to running games at the absolute maximum settings.
You can pretty much fill up a 4GB memory buffer with some insane textures even at 1080p surround. But unless you want to see 4096x4096 trees, etc. I suppose the 780 *-way SLI will suffice.

In terms of raw framerate at 5760x1080/60Hz 780 SLI will provide as much as you need. My only concern would be regarding the memory buffer if you mod games or tend to overkill settings.

Keep your 680s and calm down. Upgrade when Maxwell and VI hits. Unless you have money to blow, theb by all means buy away smile.gif

Umm what's with all this calm down stuff?

And why not 2x titans instead of 780?

Will titan be that fast outdated?

Yup, unless you want the absolute best, if only for bragging rights, I wouldn't get the Titans. Their supremacy will most likely be over Q4 2013 or Q1 2014 with the coming of Volcanic Islands architecture.
680 SLI is already nice, why do you want to upgrade? If I were you I wouldn't spend that much money for a 20-30% fps improvement. Unless you really want to max everything on high res. It's your money though smile.gif

Unless 1440p+ surround or heavy modding, no use in the bigger memory buffer.
And the performance difference barely justifies the price. However, e-peen.

I wat to be able to run games like crysis 3, hitman absolution, bf4 and so on maxed out on nvidia surround in landscape and portrait mode, but for now i only get 20 fps maxed out in crysis 3 and hitman on 3 screens. That is why i want to get the best card, but as the current nvidia cards is the 670 was almost the same as 680, so therefore i wanted to know how the difference between 770 and 780 was smile.gif And if it was worth getting titan and if titan was that much different than 780.

But will there ever be an 790? Or or a card with dual titan cores?
