Two 7970's should def be able to get 120 fps while gaming. I get 120 fps in league and 90-110 in bioshock using two 7870's. So two 7970;s should easily be able to get better than what I'm getting.

Those games are not very demanding. I think metro brings everything to its knees at 1440p. Im pretty sure a titan gets like 25fps maxed out. But just turn down a couple things and two 7970s should rape anything.

That is false.

You can tell the difference between 120 FPS and 240FPS at 120Hz, guaranteed.

240FPS is much smoother.

This is like saying that you can't tell the difference between 60 and 100FPS @ 60Hz, which is laughable.

Well, with games such as BF3 and Metro 2033, the benches ive seen only give the 7970 about 30fps. granted these are the most demanding titles and were at max settings.

So Crossfired, while playing the latest and greatest titles, I should only be getting 60fps at the best of times.

You cant see more frames that what the refresh rate of the monitor can deliver... Im not sure why your being so stubborn about it, thats well known

what are the other settings they were using. With these size montiors alot of people turn aa off, which can have a big effect on the frames your getting. For me Id rather play on high at awesome fps, then ultra at mediocre fps.

And yeah metro and bf3 are super demanding titles. Most aren't that demanding but I know what you mean. I'm hoping amd will announce their new cards at some point, with it seem like nvidia announcing another one every other day lol.

Maybe "well known" among people who don't know what they are talking about.

Yep, dunno why the hell people want ultra graphics over awesome framerate while playing multiplayer FPS games...it's so silly. It's not like there is going to be a huge difference between Ultra w/ 16xAA versus High w/ no AA.

Medium-High settings w/ 100+ FPS @ 120Hz >>>> Ultra settings w/ 60 FPS @ 60Hz
