Custom-length Cables; Which Pins?

QUESTION:

If I am going to make cable custom extensions for my 6-pin PCIe and 8-pin motherboard EPS lines, on the EXTENSION END of each, those need to be male ATX pins, correct?
And the opposite end is reversed, am I following? Meaning on the actual plugged-in side, those are female ATX pins?

I don't want to order MORE crap I can never use, so I want to make SURE, SURE, SURE!!!

Thanks - T

If I am understanding what you are saying correctly, then yes, male on the side that will connect to the PSU cable and female on the side that will connect to the motherboard.

You are understanding me perfectly, sir! That's exactly what I wanted to know...

I'm sick of not seeing what I want for sale, and / or waiting for custom stuff from Hong Kong.
I'M TAKING IT BACK!!!

Thanks - T
