No performance loss that is noticeable but I am sure I saw it in GPU-z on several games. Also Max Payne is one of the games in which I hit 2GB.

that's what I'm hoping for, I don't see why 2 7970's wouldn't be plenty of power until maxwell and VI comes out.

BF3 caches VRAM - this has been known for ages.  What it shows on screen is not what it needs to run.

Bioshock infinite and Crysis 3 are the only game I have seen to this date that has surpassed the 1.25Gb limit on my card. Of course my Skyrim is stock and I don't tend to mod textures or download texture packs. Even Metro LL wont budge the 1GB mark. I don't to use the eye-candy in games in order to play with enough vram.

Crysis 3 @ Meduim settings with FXAA, texture res @ high, AF @ x16 and motion blur on low.

averages 771mb of ram @ 1080p

Crysis 3 maxed out.

maxes out my vram @ 1080p

How does it differ?
How does it affect anything?

Once its dropping under $500. That way it can push the 670 and 680 prices down so I can buy them.

Time for a price drop, AMD. biggrin.gif
