XFX 7970 Triple Screen setup question

Hi, So I purchased the XFX 7970 Black Edition back in 2012 and I have decided to go to a triple monitor setup. I'll probably have 3 24 inch Asus monitors. The problem is this. Apparently my 7970 only has 1 DVI connector. I did not know that when I bought it since I only had one monitor, didn't really look into it. I can't even find this particular 7970 on newegg or anywhere. I don't know if it is an early version of the XFX 7970 or what but every other 7970 that I see on newegg today has 2 DVI's. My order history from newegg shows that I bought this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150586

But as you can see the one there has 2 DVI's. My card also has 1 HDMI and 2 MiniDisplay ports. It also came with a DVI to HDMI adapter cable.

So my question is will I still be able to run a triple monitor setup with this card or will I have to buy another one?

Sorry if I'm a noob, I've been out of the loop of things since I built my rig back early last year.

Yes you can run triple monitor off that card (most 7950s and 7970s only have 1 DVI connector)

You will need to use both or one of the mini displayport connectors (depending if you use the HDMI connection or not)

To do this you will need a active mini displayport to DVI single link adapter (please note that this adapter MUST be active! otherwise your 3rd monitor will not be recognized!)

You could also use 1 passive and 1 active mini displayport to DVI adapter, and the on-board DVI connector

Edit:
This is the adapter I am using along with my HDMI connection and onboard DVI connection:

XFX has had a habit of changing the design specs on their 7000 series cards (particularly on the HD 7970) without changing the model number. I had a similar experience buying a pair of 7970's (same model #) and got one with a single DVI connector and one with two DVI connectors. The second also ran at higher clocks and voltage by default.

To answer your question though, yes you will be able to run Eyefinity/Triple monitor with that card. You'll either need to have monitors with DisplayPort/mini DisplayPort connections or purchase adapters ("mDP->DVI") if your monitors are non-DisplayPort models.

Special note, in order to run 3 monitors (via adapters) at least one of the "mDP->DVI" adapters MUST be an "active" adapter. If you're running two adapters and one straight DVI cable, you can use one passive and one active, or two active adapters. Don't confuse these with the "mDP->Dual Link DVI" active adapters which cost $70-$120. You don't need one of those. The "mDP->DVI Single Link" active adapters run about $25-$30 and I've linked a couple of examples below.

http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-MDP2DVIS-DisplayPort-Active-Adapter/dp/B004SUELLC/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1369867929&sr=8-4&keywords=mdp+to+dvi

That should give you enough to go on hopefully.
