Clean sealed XSPC 5.25" bay reservior?

Thread Starter
Ive been using the XSPC single bay 5.25" reservoir for my 800D loop, but it is nasty coated with plasticizer on the inside, and I've not been able to figure out a way to scrub it out. Anyone have any suggestions? Or just toss it and get another reservoir?

I've tried bleach and vinegar solutions of distilled water, shaken vigorously, and neither worked for crap, and I can't get much of a brush in there with the holes as small as they are...

if you want you could always take the top off the res and clean it with a brush that way, might be better than using CLR(don't know how harsh it'll be) like the above poster mentioned, if that doesn't work you could try the CLR, just rinse it with DI water after.

The top doesn't come off this res, it's a solid glued together box of poly. Now, I could cut the top off, and then glue it back on after I clean it out, but I guess I have to think about that old time/money equation.
I ordered an EK res to replace it, the X3 150.
