GTX 670 4GB SC SLI question

Thread Starter
I just bought my second 670 SLI. I primarily play bf3. To make a long story short. Should the gtx 670 in sli be dropping below 60 fps? I figured shelling out 900 bucks would prevent that in 1080p but i guess not >.>

Your CPU might be a bottleneck.

You need to list your specs as Crazy9000 says.

Im running a FX-8150 @ 4.7ghz ATM. with 16gb of 1600 mhz ram.

I would have to assume that the cpu is the bottleneck. Its rather disappointing really. Considering switching to intel but i will probably wait until steamroller drops to see what its like. The whole reason i bought the second 670 was to get ready for bf4

Picking up an FX-8350, some 2133MHz ram should really do the trick. Especially if you can get that 8350 @ 4.8/4.7GHz.

I thought about going piledriver but is it worth it ? I don't think ram is the issue. Before I over clocked the cpu I almost threw up at the frame rates. So cpu has to be bottle necking. Would going to pile driver help?

8350 is a big improvement over your 8150. Unless you can pick up a decent Z77 board and a 2500k/3570k the 8350 should provide the improvements you are looking for without changing motherboards.
