Using the SSD out of my GS3...? Possible?

Thread Starter
So I got curious. My S3 took a dumb and is stuck in recovery mode (Not why I'm posting) I started thinking about how much I don't want it anymore. My question would be this; Is it all all possible to salvage the Hard Drive out of it? I don't know much about phones and especially not this one. I'm pretty sure that this phone uses an SSD (16GB) IS it possible to salvage it and use it for a Hard Drive on my computer?

I am 90% sure it would be soldered on, and whilst it may be possible to desolder it, convert it to STA, add a way to power it, figure out how to write drivers for it, it would not be worth your time.

"ssds" in phones are crap anyway, so if you would be able to somehow connect it to a pc, it would just suck and stutter alot, since these controllers are simple and dont have any cache at all..

If you sell the S3 as is youll probably get enough money to buy a larger capacity faster SSD. You can probaby sell it for 50-$100 or so, as it may be fixable. and that will obviously let you buy up to a $128GB SSD...

Put it up on ebay with pictures and description and someone will buy it.
