is this real?

lmao

Tempting. I've only had my 7970 GHz for a few months and I'm already tired of the software issues.

But the 2 GB of VRAM won't last long, so I should probably consider a 780 or wait for Maxwell. Tough decisions.

The 5800s also scaled worse when compared to Fermi wrt OCs and had bad drivers in CF (scaling and crashes).

right on..

ok tried different variations

did same clocks as my old 680

dropped memory to 6k with OC core....

did 6k with stock core .....6k with underclocked core

high memory low core....

no go every time i dropped anything it dropped the score.....

i played some BF3 and it ran around 85 frames average peaking around 120

crysis with Nvidia optimize thing around 80 frames!

so it looks like it performs ok in games....could this be a driver issue ? it would be awesome if someone else with a 770 gave it a shot!

Besides the issue you have, what is the point in "upgrading" from a 680 to a 770?
It's the same chip, and they pretty much OC the to the same level aswell.
The only advantage to the 770 is the higher memory clocks.

I bet you can even SLI them with some tweaking.

It's threads like this that make building your first gaming PC harder than it has to be tongue.gif I personally think the 770 is an amazing deal for someone that doesn't want to go crazy with their first build but still want amazing performance at 1080p.

i HAD a 680...around 1 month ago i returned it ...had it for 3 weeks.. decided to take the risk and ended up saving 125$ and getting a more quiet card

i only returned it cause it was a tad loud and 700 series leaks starting dropping ! so i took the risk to save some $$$ and i guess it paid off!
