Or maybe they'll do something more insidious. They'll fill the game with advertising (Mc D's, Pepsi, Adidas, etc.) then say if you want mirror's edge "classic" you'll have to pay $4.99 to get the "upgrade". Or $4.99 per advertising pack, i.e. one pack for billboards, one for the adidas cloths, one for the posters, one for the pepsi vending machines, one for the pepsi cans litter on the roof tops. But they'll keep the advertising at loading screens (i'm actually genuinely surprised no one has done this yet). thumb.gif

We can all dream of a future where HD real time reflections become a thing.
According to MS, the mighty power of the cloud has the ability to provide this future.

just like the mighty power of EA's servers are necessary to run SimCity.

Better yet. they'll include "skill packs". Want to slide under that pipe. download the slide DLC just $2.99. Want to run along that wall over the gap, you'll need the running dlc.

I apologize my cynicism got the better of me. I have very little faith that anything coming out of EA can go without trying to nickle and dime us in every possible bean counting way possible.

It's probably why they haven't restarted the sequel, because DLC doesn't make sense for this game, and they gotta have that DLC for the extra monies!

Also because it is primarily, or solely a single player game, and those are rarely being made anymore. It's all about the DLC and multiplayer to pull in the huge $$.

Mirror's Edge is a very unique game, a great art style and looked great. In this case, more of the same would be very much welcome.
