1920x1080= 2073600 pixels, 3840x2160= 8294400 pixels. So, the 4K [4K Ultra HD (UHD) real name] version has x4 more pixels than Full HD [this is the real name]

not the real reason why its called 4k... the actual name for the 3840x2160 res should be QFHD or quad full HD. The 2k res has 2048 horizontal pixels and 4k has 4096. the vertical pixel amount varies depending on application. (cinema, full aperture, etc.)

QFHD = 3840x2160
QHD = 2560x1440
FHD = 1920x1080
HD = 1280x720

Q = quad
q = quarter

ps, looking at these numbers and codes, it looks like 2560x1440 will be what 1280x720 is to us today biggrin.gif

For $2000 I'd pick one up in a heartbeat but at $3800 not going to touch it. Hopefully after a couple of months of slow sales sites like Newegg and Amazon will put up a big discount on them.

Geez, that's $0.99 per horizontal pixel.

Sharp screwed it up on PN-K321(the original of the Asus display) by only allowing 60hz via DP MST dual-link with Radeon cards only. So Asus better fix that, or they'll lose gamer buyers.

There won't be much gamers buying this untill the prices come down also some of them are gonna nag about the DP limitations/input lag and other things that don't really matter that much.
I shall get my hands on the driver board of the 39 MVA panel anyway wink.gif

I guess it doesnt matter if you play by yourself.

Just saying that if you can't win because there is 8ms of input lag instead of 5ms you aren't good enough for the level of gamer you think you're.
Unless you are really good it shouldn't matter and if you are really really good it shouldn't matter either as you might still win. (I've seen really good gamers own on crappy boxes with crappy screens it is 99.9(skills)/0.1(hardware).

I'm not really much of an fps gamer but that is my opinion about it.
