same although id want a larger screen than 31" i think for 21:9 as a 29" 21:9 screen is only 23" 16:9 high !

34" 21:9 4k @ 75hz would be close to a 27" 16:9 but with all that width

34" 21:9 4k @ 75hz

LOL, I did kind of leave physical size out. The good thing about 29" is you can pair a 23" 1920x1080 with it as a secondary. Too bad Nvidia doesn't play nice with a 23" 29" 23" setup or I'd so do surround.

Personally I just wish the 30" 1440p monitors would come down in price.

OverKILL???? lol I cant stand all this 1440p junk and 1080p gross... I play on a PC because of high res. that is why I play on a 30" 2560x1600... and that is why I have been wanting 4k ... I will pay, just put them up for sale thumb.gif

120hz is where its at. Once you have taken a bite from that apple, there is no turning back. Looking at the motion on a ZR30w now seems archaic at best.

When are companies going to design a controller board to take in multiple inputs that split up the screen? Dividing a screen this size into 3 equal parts would give you the ability to run the whole thing at 120hz.

...Not to mention there are 4k panels out all ready that can support 120hz ...

Here's a rough google translation of the same article:
Quote:
Should be the first Taiwan-based brand 4K 32-inch computer monitor with a PC.

2560 x 1440 resolution screen is not what the threshold for PC, ASUS at Computex in one fell swoop this product grades upgraded to 4K2K, almost ahead of other Taiwan-based brand.

ASUS at Computex 2013 in addition to showcase ProArt series PA279Q WHQD products outside also will feature 31.5-inch PQ321 and another 39-inch 4K2K products.

PQ321Q_Side

PQ321 uses SHARP IGZO panel with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 (140 PPI), can have a better screen than the current FullHD performance.

31.5-inch PQ321 brightness of 350 cd / m², GTG response time of 8ms, has the option to adjust the color temperature and Gamma, there PBP function, therefore there is not much difference ProArt series.

pq321

Input section, this screen provides a DisplayPort and 4K Group 2 HDMI (limited area), as well as RS-232C, as well as providing 2W stereo speakers.

Tripod design part, to adjust up and down outside, but also for the fine adjustment of viewing angle, but for now this screen does not erect rendering.

The current uncertain whether listed in Taiwan, but in North America is expected to ship in June, but we're looking forward to seeing at Computex 2013 this 4K screen in the flesh!

I wouldn't mind seeing that 39" behemoth on my desk.

Also, it seems they will start shipping them fairly soon. Props to ASUS for taking a chance in the 4k market.

Dude I have 3 of the same monitors and if you haven't tried the 120hz Lightboost hack you're missing out 120hz> 144hz any day. Do yourself a favor and look into it, you'll thank me you did.

This monitor is pretty much the same as the already released sharp model using the same panel and input config. So expect around 5 grand US, and using DP 1.2 nvidia cannot run the monitor at all 60hz and amd treats it as a dual display eyefinity at 60hz due to the multi mst input. Treating it as a single monitor you are limited to 30hz even with dp 1.2, limitations of current gpu's and not the monitor. mad.gif

More info can be found in the sharp igzo thread.

Thanks again to vega for my setup ive just been playing grid 2 and cod for the last 3 hours with 3240 x 1920 @ 144fps and at a image size of 42" plus the price of $780 us dollars blows my mind.
I couldnt imagine the ppi for my setup at 32" let alone 4k at 32".

Save your money and get surround portrait vg248qe.
